Yoga in Daily Life Retreat in China
On the Friday evening, I arrived at 5pm in Sanya, in the far south of Hainan Island, China, and was immediately driven to the mountains 2 hours away from Sanya airport. The first session of the Retreat started at 7.30pm, with 16 people, of whom 13 were new.
The Saturday morning session started at 6am, with an AUM chanting Meditation followed by yoga exercises. The program went on until 9pm, including Yoga Nidra, lectures and two pure vegetarian meals.
Sunday's practice went from 5am until 2pm, and was followed by a trip to another retreat resort, which will be the location for our next Yoga Retreat.
This second retreat center emphasizes natural resources as building materials, and native art and craft exhibitions take place weekly. Their organizer (lady in white in the photo) joined our retreat and offered this natural center for our use. It is a huge place, indeed.
Regular classes started again straight after the weekend, having gained 4 new enrolments from the Retreat.
