'Yoga – A Path to Non-Violence and World Peace' on Sunday 4 December 2016 in Prague
In order to reinforce the efforts of the United Nations for world peace, non-violence and yoga, the Sri Swami Madhavananda World Peace Council (SSMWPC) in cooperation with Yoga in Daily Life Prague and Vishwa Guru Deep Hindu Mandir – the Czech Hindu Religious Community have organized an international conference on Yoga in Daily Life – A Path to Non-Violence and World Peace on Sunday December 4, 2016 in Prague, Czech Republic.
In accordance with Mahatma Gandhiji’s admonition to “Be the Change You Want to See” and Paramhans Sri Swami Madhavanandaji’s “One in All and All in One”, SSMWPC raises awareness of the importance of inner peace in humans as a way to world peace. The peace endeavours can only be successful in combination with inner transformation, and yoga provides the required power for positive change.
Among the hundreds of delegates present at the conference will be, Ms Alenka Smerkolj, Minister For Development, Strategic Projects & Cohesion, Republic Of Slovenia; HSH Prince Alfred von Liechtenstein, Chairman of advisory board of International Peace Foundation; Dr. H. R. Nagendra, advisor to the Prime Minister of India and Chairman of Task Force, AYUSH Ministry, Government of India; and Ms. Alena Gajdůšková, Advisor to Prime Minister of the Czech Republic and a Member of the Parliamentarians for Nuclear Non Proliferation & Disarmament, Czech Republic.
The Conference message on how to help our world through the use of yoga principles which lead to inner peace, tolerance, health and non-violence, will be shared with the public in the afternoon from 2 pm during the lecture 'Yoga Against Stress and Meditation for Inner Peace', in which His Holiness Vishwaguru Maheshwarananda, founder of SSMWPC and Yoga in Daily Life, will give inspiration of how to lead a harmonious and happy life in a hectic world and how to achieve harmony for body, mind and soul.
