Vishwaguruji's World Peace Tour continues in the United States
NEW YORK
After programs in Vancouver, Canada, Vishwaguruji’s World Tour continued in the United States, with the first stop in New York City. On Tuesday, September 13, Vishwaguruji was received at the Permanent Mission of India (PMI) to the United Nations by Ambassador/Deputy Permanent Representative Mr. Tanmaya Lal and First Secretary Mr. Manjunath.
Following the meeting, Vishwaguruji had lunch with long time collaborator Mr. Ramu Damodaran, Chief of the UN Academic Impact, DPI UN, and Mr. Kaha Imnadze, the Georgian Ambassador/Permanent Representative at the UN.
On Tuesday evening the lecture by Vishwaguruji titled Yoga for Peace and Well-being, was hosted by the Saneeshwara Temple in Queens Village.

ALEXANDRIA
Together with the Alexandria City Mayor Allison Silberberg, and former Mayor Bill Euille, Vishwaguruji planted a red cedar Peace Tree in Four Mile Run Park, to symbolize the importance of both peace and preservation of nature. The Sunday programs followed a blissful weekend of satsangs and lectures as well as yoga practice.

ATLANTA
Vishwaguruji’s visit to the Atlanta area was short, but full of events. Vishwaguruji led a four-session yoga seminar at the George Pierce Park Community Center in Suwanee from Monday evening to Wednesday morning, and planted a World Peace Tree in the park at the center with a beautiful ceremony.

SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA
Last stop on Vishwaguruji's US tour was in San Francisco/Oakland at the Yoga in Daily Life Bay Area Ashram for a weekend program titled ‘Yoga for the Body and Beyond’, from 23 to 26 September 2016.
On Friday evening, Vishwaguruji gave a lecture at the HULT International Business School campus in San Francisco. Ambassador Venkatesan Ashok, the Consul General for India in San Francisco, attended the event and gave introductory remarks to open the lecture.
