Vishwaguruji's Australian Tour begins
His Holiness Vishwaguruji Mahamadaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda, and Swami Umapuri and Hemlata from Vienna, were greeted warmly at Melbourne Airport on Thursday 28 February, commencing the Australian program for the 2019 World Peace Tour.
That evening, Vishwaguruji gave a heartwarming lecture at the Sri Venkata Krishna Brundavana Temple in Murrumbeena, which was greatly appreciated by the local Indian community and bhaktas (devotees) present.
The weekend seminar was held at the Melbourne Yoga in Daily Life Ashram in Richmond, and focused on the theme of Chakras and Kundalini. Participants were given an overview of how the chakras originated, their function and meaning, and the information was progressively expanded through practical techniques, yoga asanas, talks and meditation. The main chakra discussed was Muladhara (root centre) and Vishwaguruji said that, throughout the tour, he will cover all the other chakras in more depth.
Mahamandaleshwar Swami Jasraj Puri, from Brisbane Ashram, led the singing of bhajans (spiritual songs) and gave an interpretation to highlight the deep meaning and teachings expressed in the compositions.
Local yoga teachers were very grateful to Hemlata from Austria for sharing her expertise, by providing a training session on taking care of the back and neck in yoga classes.
Swami Gopalpuri skillfully brought the theme of chakras into the morning yoga classes and yoga nidra, giving excellent notation on the effects of the practices on the chakras.
Those who were blessed to attend this program felt spiritual upliftment and deeper awareness through the teachings and presence of their divine yoga master, Vishwaguruji.
The next program will be held on the Gold Coast at Mudgeeraba.
