International Day of Yoga 2017 - Czech Republic
In early June, Yoga in Daily Life Prague, in cooperation with Ms. Jitka Novotna and the Indian Embassy, organized a Conference Meeting of 23 journalists on Ayurveda, Yoga and Sanskrit, with Prof. Paed. Dr. Milada Krejčí (Karuna), CSc., from the University of PE and Sport PALESTRA in Prague, Claudia Matejovsky (Muktamani) from Ayurveda Academy of Yoga in Daily Life in Vienna, and a professor from Charles University in Prague, at the Indian Embassy.
The media showed a keen interest and there have been several media articles as a result of the meeting (see links below).
Muktamani then gave a very successful Lecture on Ayurveda for about 60 people at the Indian Embassy, on the same day.
Celebrations of IDY in the Czech Republic went very well too, with Yoga in Daily Life holding IDY events at 60 venues in 36 Czech cities, with close to 3,100 participants taking part.
Yoga in Daily Life also helped the Indian Embassy in Prague to organize their Official Event on 21 June at the Embassy, with YIDL teacher Purandevi leading a yoga practice session there. The class was attended by, among others, the Czech Minister of Justice, who himself regularly practices yoga.
A video from IDY celebrations in Prague including a short interview with the Minister, can be found here.
