Twenty years ago, the Master of Yoga, His Holiness Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Sri Swami Maheshwarananda, brought the Light of Yoga to Slovenia. Today there are 11 YIDL centres serving all parts of Slovenia and more than 50,000 Slovenians have started to practise the Yoga in Daily Life System. On the occasion of this anniversary His Holiness Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda is visiting Slovenia for a 7-day tour (May 2 - 8), entitled Spiritual Awakening for World Peace. The two-day World Peace Summit 2008 in Wellington/New Zealand was brought to a successful conclusion. Main speakers as well as all other participants were invited to sign an affirmative Declaration, which will be presented to the United Nations World Environment Day conference being held in Wellington on 5th June 2008. Sadhvi Shanti will be visiting main Slovenian cities (Nova Gorica, Novo Mesto, Domzale, Celje, Kranj, Ljubljana and Maribor), between March 31 until April 6, 2008. She will be presenting her last trip to Himalayas, covering holy places like Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath, as well as Pushkar. On March 28, 2008, the 7th World Peace Summit (titled “Climate Change – What to Do?”) was launched in Wellington/New Zealand, under the patronage of His Holiness Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda. In the International Youth Conference, on 1 December 2007 in Prague, youths from numerous countries participated, as well as renowned artists and dignitaries from politics and science. Amongst them were representatives from the Ministry of Education of Czech Republic and from UNESCO. Jadan Ashram is a lively and dynamic place with many ongoing projects - one of them being the Jadan School for local children. On October 11, 2007, in the 12th century monastery of Pedralbes a unique event took place with the Inter-Religious gathering of spiritual leaders from Barcelona/Spain. This meeting was organized by UNESCO of Catalonia as part of an initiative to cultivate a culture of peace between religions and to demonstrate the possibility of unity in diversity. Gurupurnima is the festival of spirituality, a celebration of the principle of a Master, a Guru. Gu means darkness and Ru means light and Guru is the one who leads us from darkness to light. Gurupurnima is also a remembrance of the day when the rays of the Sun touched the Earth for the very first time. It is the day of wisdom, the day of the Light. Monsoon rains that started on July 4 almost completely filled the Rainwater Harvesting Talab in Jadan. Water is everywhere; it covered also all fields and roads. Local people say that last monsoon of such abundance was almost ten years ago. [see more...]

A historic event took place in New Delhi/India, February 5-6, 2007, when Hindu and Jewish religious leaders met for the first time for a two-day dialogue on a range of subjects. The SRI SWAMI MADHAVANANDA AUSTRIA HOSPITAL is a 98-bed allopathic and naturopathic hospital being constructed in Jadan by OM Vishwa Deep Gurukul Sri Swami Maheshwarananda Ashram in conjunction with the Society "Austria Hospital in India" from Vienna, Austria. The construction has begun in 2003 and it should be completed in nearest future. The Hospital will open soon after and start providing valuable healthcare for local people.
